01What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies let a site remember things between requests, such as the fact that you are signed in. Some cookies last only for a single session and disappear when you close your browser, and others last for a set period so the site can remember you when you return.
This policy explains the cookies that Acyera sets to run the platform. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes the wider picture of how we handle information.
02Essential cookies we use
These cookies are necessary for the platform to work. Without them, you could not sign in or stay signed in, so they are always active when you use those parts of the Service.
__sessionSessionKeeps you securely signed in to the Acyera dashboard and confirms your session on the server for every protected action.
__tenant_sessionSessionManages a signed-in session on an individual site built with Acyera, for features that let visitors log in to that site.
03The referral cookie
Acyera runs a Partner Program that lets members earn commissions for introducing new customers. To credit a referral to the right partner, we set one cookie when someone arrives through a referral link.
acyera_ref60 daysRemembers which partner referred you, so that if you later sign up and subscribe, the introduction is credited to them. It carries only a referral code, not your identity.
04Cookies on sites built with Acyera
Each site published on Acyera is run by its own builder. When a builder switches on a feature that needs a cookie, that cookie is set while you visit their site. The most common example is advertising, which eligible builders can enable on their sites.
Because builders control these features, the exact cookies on any given site depend on what that builder has turned on. If you have a question about a specific site, the builder who runs it is the right person to ask.
05Third-party cookies
Some features rely on services provided by other companies, and those services may set their own cookies when the feature is used. Examples include advertising, embedded maps, and social sharing. These cookies are governed by the third party’s own policies.
Where a feature requires consent before non-essential cookies are set, that consent is requested before the feature loads.
06Managing cookies
You are in control of cookies in your browser. You can:
- clear cookies that are already stored;
- block some or all cookies, either for every site or for specific ones; and
- set your browser to warn you before a cookie is stored.
Please keep in mind that the essential cookies above are needed to sign in and use the dashboard. If you block them, those parts of the Service will not work. The help pages for your browser explain exactly how to manage cookies on your device.
07Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if the cookies we use change. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Using the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
